It's our fifth week of blogging, and also the start of December! Our next goal is to start our fundraising as soon as possible. As of right now, our plan is to do our fundraising through the school. plan to start talking to adults about our fundraisers next week.
Last week on Tuesday, we presented our project to the class, to see what they think we need to work on as well as what they liked about our project. A majority of the class agreed that we need to work on setting goals, respecting boundaries, and advertisement. Despite that, the class agrees that our project could be very successful and impactful. The thing we are struggling with the most is making the most of our time. We seem to always push stuff off to the last minute, which we are working on. We continue to work hard to put on an excellent event in the spring.

Introduction-Week OneHello! I'm Jackie and I attend Civic Memorial High School. I am working on this amazing project, "Project Auxilium" with two of my friends as well. We decided to do this project together because we all have a passion for raising awareness for mental health because we all have family members who suffer or have suffered from some form of mental illness. We also noticed that many of our friends who have problems have no clue what they are, and believe that its normal. Our goal is to raise awareness for mental health, but we are not exactly sure what we event we plan to put on, potentially a mental health fair, a five k/ fun run or picnic. In order to put on this event, we plan to do many fundraisers through our school and community, like penny wars, selling t-shirts and whatever else that seems to benefit us. My fear is that we may not be successful in advertising and have little turn out to our event, but I believe that we will be able to do well. To combat this fear, we are going start and manage a few social media pages(most likely an Instagram page and Twitter) to spread awareness as well. Our dream would be to be able to make our event annual and not just a one time project. I'm very excited to be able to work with an amazing team to make a big difference in our small town. |
