Good morning! It's Jude once more!
And perhaps, for the final time. Allow me to explain. Indeed it's been a long time since my last post--what, two weeks? And then some? Boy has quite a few things happened. I was apart of the school musical and we just finished all of our show nights. Until next year's play it is. Project Auxilium has been discussing the end details of our yoga event. Our supervisor has told us that we're going to start working on the FINAL PRESENTATION. (I'm anxious just thinking about it!) It's when our community is invited to watch our class present the progress we've made on our blogs and all of the things we have accomplished working on it. Before then, we have to talk to our principal and the supervisor of one of our clubs about the yoga day, and we have to actually assemble the presentation, which will be an adventure in itself. It's going to be a long, long ride. As a matter of fact, it has been a long, long, LONG ride. I nearly forgot that this is my last post, apparently. So I'll do my best to send it off well. I've pushed my way through many blogs. Jackie, Jill, and I have talked about this project enough times to probably remember it at graduation--is that a good thing? I'll know at graduation. And you know, even though I haven't once said it, I hope everyone out there stays mentally healthy. That's what we're trying to do, right? Hey, don't make it bad, okay? This is Jude (also known as, Project Auxilium's mom/another name) signing off. Have a good day, y'all. Molly

Hello everyone!
So...I have news...Project Auxilium is...ACTUALLY GETTING WORK DONE! We've begun work on our yoga day! Our objective this week was to talk to our supervisor and principal about hosting the event. We want to do it in April, hopefully outside on our school's football field. We've even been thinking about where to go if it should rain, and we're emailing the supervisor of our Lifesavers Club. Jackie made a step-by-step plan and everything! We have to email Lifesavers, plan our date, put the date in the morning announcements, check-out the area we use, and then figure how yoga works! I don't think any of us actually know many yoga moves. Downward dog? Tree? Wii-Fit? We'll work it out. For now, we have to actually email our principal about doing it. (Jackie and Jill tricked me into doing it. I was bamboozled.) Until then, things are coming together. I hope it all goes well! Jude P.S. Here's a selfie that Jackie tried to take of me. I'm sure what it says about me, but I hope it makes you laugh. G'day everybody!
Well, it's that time again. Despite the positivity and determination I had in my last post, I have hit a low point. This whole week, I have once again been busy! Even after school! Even on the weekends! It's simply shocking how little free time I've had...but enough about me. Back to the project! While we haven't done anything ourselves, I will add the good news that our school is selling t-shirts in honor of suicide awareness. Our principal is very positive and supportive of this, which I'm happy to say isn't our doing! He's just a genuinely good person! It's always nice to get a reminder that there are good people out there. But regardless of all of that, I still have the optimism of my last post! Maybe there wasn't any work this week but there are many weeks until this project is to be put away. (A sad time indeed.) Thank you for reading! I'll see you all (probably) next week! Jude Hello! It feels as if I was updating my blog just yesterday.
Now, with me having updated not that long ago, you might think I have nothing to talk about. But NO! I have spoken with my group after many harsh weeks apart, and we've talked about our plan for the first time in very long! In fact, we've made changes to the plan, and we've got a better goal! Isn't that exciting? So, our original idea to hold an event of some sort in the spring has been changed. We are instead considering holding an after-school event at our local high school to just have time to relax amongst our classmates! Jackie has suggested doing yoga, which I'll admit--I want to! Hopefully some classmates would agree with us. But of course this idea is still in the works, and it is not confirmed nor denied. Though hope is not lost! Unfortunately until then, any smaller fundraising events we were planning seem pointless, and will likely be dropped. There's still a lot of work to do. I hope we can manage to stay on this event! Thank you, Jude Hello everyone!
Firstly, I have to apologize--my weeks have been very busy and I've barely had a second to even think about my blog! I have, many times, been absent during my group's worktime and it's been bad on my blog, I know. Again, I'm sorry. Secondly, I never got to do my New Year's resolution! And to think, I had one planned and everything! My resolution was going to be to get this project off the ground! To really begin spreading it across the internet, and to get the word out on social media. We've had this idea in the works since we began the project. Social media accounts may have already been made...but hopefully the prolonged exposure will be beneficial! I think that in the next few weeks I should be able to update more frequently. Again, I'm sorry that I've been as absent as I was. I really think that this new year will kick into gear soon, and Project Auxilium can start focusing more on this. Here's to a good 2018! Jude Hello there everyone! Depending on where you are when you read these words, good morning/good afternoon/good evening/good night! (How considerate am I?)
I hope your day is going well. For the first time in two weeks, mine is going pretty good! But not only is my day, with all its activities and socializing, going good; our project is going good! Well, I would say. It's been a rough week for Project Auxilium, as our class has been busy and we haven't had time to do some proper work. But! We figured out our next step - talk to our supervisor about the next step! Wow, crazy right?! I'm just kidding. Er, well, we do need to talk to our supervisor, but...it's not as lame as I made it sound. It will benefit the project! Also, on November 21st, we presented our project to our class. Unfortunately, the Monday before, I went home sick and I wasn't prepared to present the next day. Though I think it worked out just fine. (At least...no one has told me it was bad.) I explained what our project actually was, and I think I explained it better, improvising and shaking in front of my class, than I ever have telling someone individually. So hopefully it went alright! Anyway, everyone, that's all I have. I'm unsure about when my next update will be - I know the schedule is kind of scattered. But expect to hear from me soon...ish! Sincerely, Jude P.S. This is a selfie of Jill and I, hard at work! (That's what our teacher thinks anyway!) ;) Hello again, readers!
So...I have something to admit. We haven't gone towards our goal this week. I know, I know - "We have so much to do! There's surely something that can be done!" - but alas, we have nothing. We contacted some other groups, but that was last week's action! Everyone in Project Auxilium has been busty with other things this week, and the entire month has gone by so fast! Halloween feels like it was just a few days ago, but it was over a week ago! It's November 10! Well, regardless, today we made a plan. We're going to meet up this Sunday and talk about our next move...and eat cookies. Otherwise, I've got nothing to report, captain! Thank you very much, I really need to be working, I'm gonna late for lunch again, The Real Slim Shady has been playing in my head for ten minutes, Jude Hello again, good friends and people who clicked on my third blog post by accident!
Welcome (back) to Jude's blog! So, if you've read my other two posts, you'll know that Project Auxilium is moving on in our years--we're actually doing work and making progress! Jackie continues to come up with ideas that are completely random but are also too good to throw out, so we've just been writing them down and trying to continue with our actual objective. Which we sometimes forget about. It's quite funny to watch. Anyways, Jackie has been very stuck on the idea of penny wars, as I last mentioned--we're consulting our principal and supervisor as I write this! Jill has been supportive of the idea and has been stuck on a different idea: t-shirts. Right now feels too early to making products, but the thought is fun. Maybe we will one of these weeks. Regardless of the other two, our actual project is going well; a lot of the ideas Jackie has have been written down and people have been contacted. So far, we have an event planned for the spring of 2018. There's also penny wars, and we've been discussing contacting actual psychologists and going to other mental health buildings. There's a lot, really, but it'll be interesting in the weeks to come. Being late for lunch to finish this post, Jude Hello again! It's Jude.
I'm happy to say...we have not done much. Actually, this is unfortunate news. We haven't begun moving towards a goal. But! We have started planning a goal. So far, we have the idea to do fundraisers and spread awareness for our project. You know - mental health issues. We've considered making t-shirts and selling them, and starting something Jackie calls a "penny war." I don't really know what it is, but I'm a little scared. As far as I know, it involves my whole school and a lot of pennies; which is what scares me. My school is competitive in the "if-you-say-juniors-suck-one-more-time-I'll-rip-your-face-off" kind of way. But if it raises awareness and we can all have a little fun along the way, I think it'll be good. Hopefully something like that works out. I'll be happy to let y'all know. Until next time, I'm the female Beatles girl, signing off. - Jude Lennon Hello! My name, if you haven't seen, is Jude Lennon. I am a student at Civic Memorial High School. Two of my classmates and I have grouped up to create this project - Project Auxilium.
Project Auxilium was an idea we thought of when our teacher prompted, "I would like you to do something that will help a large group of people." That's just the easiest way to put it. Our teacher is a bit more eccentric and awkward than that, but you get the point. We thought, "Alright, maybe we can do something for the school." Then our teacher said, "It needs to effect more than just your classmates." And we proceeded to think, "Oh." Our first idea was to create a website revolving around therapy. Giving tips, talking to people, and offering help. Then when we presented this rough draft, we were reminded that we were just high school students and not medical professionals. We don't have degrees in psychology, though one of us was majoring in it, it wasn't a good enough reason to be offering medical assistance. We were sent back to our seats without a goal and plan. It was disheartening, for me at least. Then we began throwing ideas around, giving pros and cons, and we finally got our project planned - "Project Auxilium, letting you know you have help." Instead of being therapists, we were going to be a helping hand. We plan to help people find the resources they need, and spread awareness for said things. So, without further ado, welcome to my blog! Thank you for coming, I'll be here...once a week. |
