Happy New Year! I know that I'm bit late to posting this blog, but this leads me perfectly into the theme of this weeks blog, resolutions. To begin, I hope to be more timely with posting, for I feel as though I haven't been taking posting seriously enough. My next resolution is to take our project off the ground. We are all very excited where our project is going, but we really to need to put our plans into motion. We first plan to start taking our project to the next level, by putting our project on social media. We've had an Instagram for a very long time, but we've been kind of inactive on it, which I take full blame for, and plan to post much more. We recently made a Twitter which can be reached @PAuxilum. In the future, we really hope that we can also get the word out about us around the school. Here's to a fabulous 2018!

Introduction-Week OneHello! I'm Jackie and I attend Civic Memorial High School. I am working on this amazing project, "Project Auxilium" with two of my friends as well. We decided to do this project together because we all have a passion for raising awareness for mental health because we all have family members who suffer or have suffered from some form of mental illness. We also noticed that many of our friends who have problems have no clue what they are, and believe that its normal. Our goal is to raise awareness for mental health, but we are not exactly sure what we event we plan to put on, potentially a mental health fair, a five k/ fun run or picnic. In order to put on this event, we plan to do many fundraisers through our school and community, like penny wars, selling t-shirts and whatever else that seems to benefit us. My fear is that we may not be successful in advertising and have little turn out to our event, but I believe that we will be able to do well. To combat this fear, we are going start and manage a few social media pages(most likely an Instagram page and Twitter) to spread awareness as well. Our dream would be to be able to make our event annual and not just a one time project. I'm very excited to be able to work with an amazing team to make a big difference in our small town. |
