Hello! My name, if you haven't seen, is Jude Lennon. I am a student at Civic Memorial High School. Two of my classmates and I have grouped up to create this project - Project Auxilium.
Project Auxilium was an idea we thought of when our teacher prompted, "I would like you to do something that will help a large group of people." That's just the easiest way to put it. Our teacher is a bit more eccentric and awkward than that, but you get the point. We thought, "Alright, maybe we can do something for the school." Then our teacher said, "It needs to effect more than just your classmates." And we proceeded to think, "Oh." Our first idea was to create a website revolving around therapy. Giving tips, talking to people, and offering help. Then when we presented this rough draft, we were reminded that we were just high school students and not medical professionals. We don't have degrees in psychology, though one of us was majoring in it, it wasn't a good enough reason to be offering medical assistance. We were sent back to our seats without a goal and plan. It was disheartening, for me at least. Then we began throwing ideas around, giving pros and cons, and we finally got our project planned - "Project Auxilium, letting you know you have help." Instead of being therapists, we were going to be a helping hand. We plan to help people find the resources they need, and spread awareness for said things. So, without further ado, welcome to my blog! Thank you for coming, I'll be here...once a week.
